Credit Card Charges & Our Toll Free Number
Lakeside Living Design is a wholly owned subsidiary of CareTakers, LLC. Charges to credit cards will show up on your statement "CareTakers, LLC". Phone support through our toll free number will be answered by CareTakers LLC. When calling our toll free number, at the first prompt, press 4 for the office attendant. If it is after normal working hours, please leave a message and someone will get back to you regarding your questions within 24 hours.
Shipping Services
Small Item Shipping Services:
These items are usually shipped out on the same or next business day. This cost is automatically calculated on line for all items/orders weighing less than 150 pounds. For items/orders weighing more than 150 pounds, the system should provide an error message: “Unable To Calculate Shipping Costs. No valid shipping methods are available for your order. You will be contacted regarding shipping when your order is processed.” Under these circumstances, we will contact you with your total order cost before shipping or charging your credit card account to ensure the total cost of the order is acceptable to you before completing the order.
In some cases, your order may ship directly from the manufacturer, which may add up to a week to the shipment. If time is of the essence please call to confirm that your items are in stock.
Alaska & Hawaii: Alaska and Hawaii orders are shipped by UPS 2nd Day Air. Please call for details specific to your shipping costs. 1-877-937-3664.
Furniture Shipping Services:
Common Carrier: This means that your order must be packaged and delivered by a carrier other than UPS. When possible, we will ship your furniture directly to you from the manufacturer. In any case, this is a curbside delivery service, meaning you are responsible for moving the items from the truck to the house. The driver will not help move the furniture out of the truck or inside the home.
Furniture - Will It Even Fit? Be sure to measure all of the doorways, hallways and stairwells that the furniture must go through. If you have a question as to whether or not the furniture will fit through your doorways, hallways and stairwells, give us a call toll free @ 1-877-937-3664, and we can help.
How It Works: When your furniture order is complete, it is wrapped and boxed and set up for delivery. The freight company then picks up the furniture from our store and moves it to the destination terminal where it is left off for the interline freight carrier. It is the interline carrier who actually delivers the shipment to your location. In most cases they are within 100 miles of your home. When the interline carrier receives your shipment, they call you to arrange a delivery time. Failure to meet the delivery may cause your furniture to be delayed and additional charges to be assessed. If your location is too remote for the delivery truck, you may be required to meet the truck at the closest point he can reach. All of this will be prearranged by our office to the best of our ability. Once the furniture has left our store and you experience any problems, you should not hesitate to call us toll free 1-877-937-3664, and we will do our best to help you work through the problem and see that you get your furniture as painlessly as possible.
Outside the Continental U.S.: At this time we do not ship furniture internationally, except if the international customer has a U.S. freight broker who can act as the exporter and handle customs. If you have questions about international orders, please call us toll free at 1-877-937-3664.
Return Policy
Our staff will work with you and make your purchase as smooth as possible. Please call us toll free at 1-877-937-3664 with any question or concern you might have. Our prices on all furniture do not allow for returns. Please measure your room and delivery entrance to make sure furniture will fit.
In case of visible damage upon delivery, refuse the shipment and do not sign any paperwork. Call us at 1-877-937-3664.
Hidden Damage: open all boxes within 24 hours of delivery. Do not use any sharp objects. Call us at 1-877-937-3664.
All returns must be in the original box and in the original condition. Any shipping expense is that of the buyer.
All returns require a Return Authorization Number (RAN). To return merchandise please call toll free 1-877-937-3664 for a RAN. All unauthorized returns will be refused.
All items priced under $100.00 may be returned within 30 days of purchase and no restocking fee will apply. You must return the item in the original box, insured for the amount of purchase. Any SPECIAL ORDER, or an order over $100.00 that is ordered for you and shipped from the manufacturer is NOT returnable. We do guarantee you against any products from factory defects and all furniture does carry their own manufacturer warranty. Freight Damage
Gifts & Accessories: Any Damages to Lamps, Gifts & Accessories or any other small items shipped within the continental USA must be reported to us within seven days of receipt. All original packaging must be kept for possible inspection by UPS. We will rush replacements to you immediately, while we wait for the claims process to conclude. All items discontinued or not able to be replaced will generate an automatic refund while we wait for the claims process to conclude.
Furniture: All furniture must be inspected prior to signing the bill of lading. The delivery driver is required to wait for you to complete your inspection. Any damages must be pointed out to the driver, and noted on the freight bill. This is very important! Any damages not noted on the freight bill will be assumed as damages that occurred after delivery (i.e. when brought in the house) and not covered by our freight insurance. If you see freight damage on your furniture the best thing to do is stop, and immediately call us (1-877-937-3664) for instruction. If the damage is bad, as stated in our return policy, above, we may instruct you to refuse the shipment. |
